America's Oldest Restaurant

A visit to Boston is not complete without a visit to the Union Oyster House, America’s oldest restaurant.

Since 1826 the Union Oyster House has been serving a range of meals from Oysters (of course) when they ‘R’ in season, to Lobster. My favourites are the chowders and mussels.

Located on the Freedom Trail just a block away from Faneuil Hall, it’s a perfect stop for weary legs.

Take it from a good food junkie, it’s fantastic!

I looked at this blog. Did you do all of this for just these people? And all they did was complain as if it was your fault? I think they need more than a vacation. That was very nice of you to do it but i'm sorry that lady seems to have problems.

Did your friends go to Durgin Park? I love both of the places you recommended. I think I'd rather go to Durgin because its so different and old Boston style. But you certainly did the right thing in your suggestions. When we go on vacation the food makes the vacation sometimes. Dont feel so bad. You never said but it sounds like your friends are in their 70s especially the way she has complained. Next time maybe she needs to take one of those lawrence welk vacations.
